Low priority messages -
Low priority messages are not available for post-payment, only pre-payment.
Messages charged in arrears -
There is a limit of 5000 messages per month for messages charged in arrears, there is no limit for pre-purchased messages. If your campaigns are successful and exceed the 5000 message quota and you have not pre-purchased any message credits, then no text messages will be sent from your account. There is no limit for pre-purchased messages.
Priority vs. Low Priority text messages -
There are two message types, Priority and Low Priority. Priority text messages are full featured 160 character SMS messages that are delivered directly through high speed carrier connections using short codes and are the standard way to engage with mobile marketing. They are fast, reliable and are sent "from" short codes so that they can be easily replied to.
Low Priority text messages are a cheaper way of sending outbound text messages, but there are a number of limitations; they are not as reliable, they do not work on all mobile carriers, they are limited to 120 characters or less and the end-user cannot always respond to them successfully.
The recommended choice for valued marketing messages is Priority text messages. We do offer Low Priority messages because we recognize that at times you may need a low cost option and instant delivery is not always paramount.
