There is no hard and fast restriction as it is based on context and relevancy; who the targets are, how good the content is. As a general rule of thumb we recommend no more text messages than once a week, and that is only if you have something important to say. The more personalised you are and the more opt-in types you have (for example, opt-in for last minute offers, coupons, contests, sales etc that really understand what your customers are interested in personally), the more frequent you can be. Sending out all offers to all people too frequently can result in opt-outs and the mobile channel becomming ineffective for you.

Yes, this is a mobile / wireless carrier requirement. You should setup a permanent On Demand Campaign called Help which responds to anyone who texts in "Keyword HELP". In this message you should include contact support details plus any general help information and how to opt-out. You should also include a statement in your Bucket message to let people know there is a Help message - something like "Text #keyword# Help or #keyword# stop to opt-out". #Keyword# should be replaced by the keyword for your account.

The web sign up will provide the ability to capture greater demographic information, such as name, birth date, gender, and email address. When customers text in via a keyword to opt-in to your group, the standard information includes phone number, the message, wireless provider and time/date. You can also use our SMS 2 Email module to capture email addresses into your database. The key is that with InvolveMobile you can use a combination to capture the most data and make the most out of your customer relationships.

An Account keyword is the tag that you ask customers to text in to participate in all your mobile text campaigns. It may be a brand name or a shortened code for your business, for example; FOOD2U or an abbreviation such as BDC for Bob's Dry Cleaners.

Keywords are required because InvolveMobile services use shared short codes, which allows us to offer a low cost mobile solution to interactive text messaging. Because the number is shared, however, Word keywords must not clash with any keywords that already exist in our systems. In that case, Keywords will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There are two kinds of Account Keywords available to you:
1. A "Non-word keyword" is a keyword that is not an English word. The keyword is checked against a dictionary of English words. Each Involve mobile account provide for a non-word keyword with your $45 a month account fee.
2. A "Word keyword" is any keyword that is also an English word such as FOOD, if available, for an extra fee. As part of your account you can then create unlimited sub-Keywords which allow you to setup any number of concurrent campaigns under your Account keyword. For example, you may ask customers to send in FOOD2U VIP to join the VIP Club and FOOD2U COUPON to receive this weeks coupon offer. Sub-keywords are also called “MATCHES” within the Involve system.

Priority text messages are full featured 160 character sms messages that are delivered properly through direct carrier connections using short codes and are the standard way to engage with mobile marketing. They are fast, reliable and are sent "from" the short codes so that they can be easily replied to. Low Priority text messages are a cheaper way of sending outbound text messages, but there are a number of limitations; they are not as reliable, they do not work on all mobile carriers, they are limited to 120 characters or less and the end-user can not respond to them. The recommended channel is Priority text messages.

Yes, you can export your data from many Involve dashboard screens. Look for either the export button or the link under Actions to be able to export the highlighted rows. You can export Messages or Individuals through search results or use the dedicated Export tool option for Individuals if you would like a dump of your database. There is a limit of 2000 records for exporting Messages.
When highlighting All records, make sure you select across all pages if you would like all records in the current result set to be exported. When exporting, a pop-up window will provide a % completion bar, please allow sufficient time for this to take place.

Absolutely not. We don’t charge any termination fees should you decide to cancel, or any additional fees. We also don’t charge by the person. You can have 1 person or 100 people using Involve and you’ll still pay the same price.

Involve is a pay-as-you-go service that is charged month to month and you can cancel the service at any time and you won’t be charged monthly fees again (only fees for messages which you have sent for your last month) – so there are no refunds offered. You are billed every 30 days for the service. You are still responsible for any charges already incurred to the date of cancellation.

We only accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) at this time. You can only pay monthly at the moment but we are looking into being able to pre-pay in one lump sum for as many months in advance as you’d like. Invoices are automatically emailed to the account owner every time you are charged.

At this time the Involve interface is only available in English, but Involve does allow unicode character sets so you can enter content in many languages including Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese. All times and dates are localized for where you live, which is used to change the data extensively throughout the system.
Localization and translation of the interface is something we will be considering at a future date.

The most common cause of this is that your browser isn’t set to accept cookies. The Involve platform requires that cookies are turned on for security purposes.
The other possibility is you have a firewall or security system set up that is too strict. It’s preventing cookies from being accepted or JavaScript from being run. Involve needs both cookies and JavaScript in order to function properly.

You can use different sub-keywords (matches) and separate Groups to manage separate clients, however each account can only have 1 non-word keyword and up to 3 word keywords and one web registration form, so you may need more than one account if you have a lot of inbound text messages from a variety of clients.

Throughout Involve, you can use the Criteria Builder to drill down and select only certain segments of your database according to criteria rules. Click on the red-green arrows to see the array of search types. With Involve you have access to the full CRM history including dempgraphics, message history, interaction behavior and more. Some handy hints - Message Contains keywords - This is helpful when you are looking for message in your inbox that contain certain words. Message is in [folder] – This allows you to select the folder that the message is in if you use folders. Message matched [application] – Select the campaign that the message matched.

If you are not 100% satisfied with the operation of your InvolveMobile service, both the Account setup and standard account monthly cost will be refunded to you if within the first 30 days you request a refund via our support request page. Priority text messages are very different in terms of quality, delivery time and reliability and are always the recommended channel and you will have a very different experience. No, all text message broadcasts may be responded to, regardless of whether you request a response or not. A one way text message may be construed as spam, regardless of the text message senders intentions and context. US wireless carriers require that all outgoing text messages be connected with a mobile short code and it is both best practice and will likely be covered by law in the future.
